How often should I visit the dentist?
For patients who are in good oral health, we recommend that you visit Dr. Patel or Dr. Girgis twice per year or every six months. We’ll do a thorough examination, cleaning, and screening for concerns such as gum disease, oral cancer, and tooth decay. We’ll also take digital x-rays at least once per year to help us monitor your oral health and get an idea of what’s happening internally in your mouth.
If you struggle with periodontal (gum) disease, we recommend three visits per year, or every four months, so we can help you maintain your oral health. We offer deep cleanings that reach below the gum line to remove plaque and tartar build-up and help patients with gum disease effectively manage their condition.
