ClearCorrect is a form of orthodontic therapy used to adjust the alignment of your teeth. It is different than traditional braces in that it makes use of custom-made clear plastic aligners to bring your teeth into their correct position. ClearCorrect can be used to treat a number of orthodontic conditions such as underbites, improperly spaced teeth, crowded teeth, overbites and crooked or turned (rotated) teeth.
How does ClearCorrect work?
ClearCorrect treatment involves wearing custom-made clear plastic aligners over your teeth. You will change to a new aligner every three weeks, and the process has four phases. Aligners are to be worn all the time except when the patient is eating and drinking, brushing or flossing. Over time, and as you change aligners, teeth are slowly adjusting and aligning. Regular dental checkups are necessary so that we can continue to monitor and evaluate your teeth as the treatment progresses. This process will continue until you attain desired results.
ClearCorrect can be used to treat both teenagers and adults. Children who may not have all their molars and adults with more complicated dental cases may also be candidates for treatment using ClearCorrect.
Depending on the degree of misalignment and your specific condition, treatment time may vary but is typically completed in one to two years.
