What Can Cosmetic Dentistry Fix?
Our cosmetic dentists offer a wide range of treatments to suit your needs. Whether that be crooked teeth, chips, gaps or a dull tooth color you’re simply not satisfied with. Our dentists are here to help.
At our clinic, we see a variety of patients seeking a whiter smile. Luckily, we offer two different options for teeth whitening that can accommodate any patients’ needs in an often quick and cost-effective way.
For patients who need quick results, our primary Zoom in-office whitening system is your best option. In just one short hour-long appointment, we’ll apply a high-strength whitening gel that is activated with a special light. Most patients leave our office with teeth that are six to ten shades lighter!
For patients who want to whiten their teeth in the comfort of their own home, we offer custom-made take-home trays designed to be used at your own convenience. Our team will take impressions of your teeth which we’ll use to make custom-fitted trays. We’ll give you a crash course on how to safely apply the whitening gel and you’ll be well on your way to whiter teeth at home, around your own schedule.
Initially, you may want to whiten for about two weeks to achieve the desired results; however, the greatest benefit of take-home trays is that you’ll be able to update your smile whenever you like. Whether you have a date, job interview or simply want whiter teeth quickly and easily, we have the perfect solution for you.
Dental veneers are a thin “shell” made from porcelain that is designed to fit over and enhance your natural tooth structure. Veneers are a great option for repairing gaps or other spacing issues, tooth shape irregularities, discoloration or small fractures or chipping. Veneers can repair one tooth, or they can completely change the appearance of and enhance your entire smile.
Porcelain veneers are just one of the many cosmetic dentistry services we offer.
Composite resin, the same tooth-colored material used to fill cavities, can also be used to repair chipping, wear, and fractures. Composite can be custom blended to match your existing teeth and because it’s pliable and easy to work with, Dr. Remal Patel and Dr. Kinjal Patel can shape the composite so that no one will ever know your tooth was chipped! Composite is a very durable material that will enhance your smile for many years to come.
Dentures and Partials
A denture is a removable appliance that is designed to replace an entire arch of missing teeth. Typically made of acrylic and artfully designed to match your previous smile, a denture utilizes suction to stay in place, and the key to this (which our St. Pete doctors have mastered) is getting the perfect fit. On the other hand, a partial denture is also removable, it uses prosthetic teeth to fill in the spaces while anchoring to your existing teeth with a solid but pain-free, metal clasp.
When your tooth sustains an injury, infection or fracture, it may become infected and root canal therapy needs to be done. If this happens, our dentists will ensure they clean out the affected root through a small hole we create at the top of your tooth. Once your canal is clean and clear of any possible infection, our experts seal your tooth with a temporary filling. Which can be later on fixed with a permanent dental crown. Some patients may also be prescribed an antibiotic to fight infection depending on its severity.
